– You save a group of Faeries from fire-breathing mechanical Dwarves. All Kid is focused on is murdering Lynx (You in Lynx’s body) and doesn’t give a damn about the innocent refugees. Somehow Kid is unable to see the difference between a Serge who is amassing a massive army and killing hundreds of thousands of innocents to the Serge that she was camping and sharing stories with in the early parts of the game. Some of the refugees are sick and injured. When next you see her, she’s helping Lynx (in Serge’s body) to cause a war that’s killing innocents by the thousands and comes to literally bomb your small group of escaped refugees with their war ships. – Kid magically forgets the switching of bodies. Viper’s daughter wouldn’t even be in danger if not for Kid literally placing a knife to her throat and using her as a hostage. – Kid uses Viper’s daughter as a hostage and yet is somehow said to have ‘saved’ her. They act as if Kid is in the right when she literally pulls a weapon on the equivalent of police officers. – Kid pulls a knife on the Dragoons who come to take Serge into custody since he’s a mysterious intruder. The Silent Protagonist is a failure in this game because Serge is asked to give his feelings and can only ever reply with “…” as if that’s a satisfactory response. It’s hard to believe that he always reacts in the same shocked way over and over. – Serge never reacts to any given scenario even when characters ask him too. The suspension of disbelief required is absolutely ridiculous in this game: This is an absolutely stupid contradiction that just shows ignorance and laziness. – Schala has blond hair and wears a white dress. If Schala gave it to Kid and Kid was zapped into the future then how could Marle have ever gotten it? Furthermore, how could the events of Chrono Trigger have ever happened in Chrono Cross if Kid has that necklace? – The necklace that Kid uses is the same as Marle’s. too bad that he’s not there with the rest of them. It’s assumed that he was frozen in the Dead Sea…. – Serge shouldn’t have been able to cross worlds in Lynx’s body. This is explicitly shown in Chrono Trigger. – The red stone materials were never part of Lavos. The plot contradicts both itself and Chrono Trigger because: Note: This entire post will contain spoilers for the Worst Game Ever, Chrono Cross and its prequel game, Chrono Trigger. Listing the Plot Holes of the Worst Game Ever, Chrono Cross.Videos on Plot Failings and my Negative Review of the Worst Game Ever, Chrono Cross.Negative Review of the Worst Game Ever, Chrono Cross.I write for this fanzine! It's about old video games, and lots of talented people are involved. Why Chrono Cross Sucks and Deserves to be called the Worst Game Ever: For instance, this complete set of keychains routinely sell for upwards of $90 without the paper fold-outs that originally accompanied each keychain. This, in turn, keeps the price on most Chrono Trigger stuff up pretty high. In fact, other than these keychains, the Formation Arts statues, and a handful of guides and soundtracks, not much else is out there for the rabid Chrono fan such as myself. The six keychains are incredibly accurate to Akira Toriyama’s original character designs and are meticulously detailed, which is surprising, considering they are only 2″ – 2.5″ in height.Ĭhrono Trigger, unlike most Square-Enix franchises, has a distinct lack of officially licensed merchandise available. These six Chrono Trigger keychains were produced by Japanese company Bandai under license from Square. There is not much info about these on the internet (not in English, anyway) but the Chrono Compendium states that these were allegedly dispensed by arcade machines in 1995. The six characters represented in this keychain set are Crono, Marle, Lucca, Robo, Ayla and Frog- all the playable characters (minus Magus) from Chrono Trigger. I spent an entire day trying to decide exactly what from my long and storied Ebay watch list I would finally move on, and in the end I decided to bolster my already impressive Chrono Trigger collection. I recently came into a bit of a windfall when I sold an Ebay score for 20 times what I paid.
